Coral nutrition

Corals are organisms that generate the energy they need to live partially autonomously (autotrophs) through photosynthesis. But this process only provides them with part of the energy they need to live, having to recover the rest from nutrients present in the water (heterotrophs). Then there are corals that totally depend on the nutrients in the water (heterotrophs). Therefore it is necessary to introduce food for the corals in the aquarium.
